Travel Insurance for Coronavirus/COVID-19 Coverage

Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption Travel Protection Plans
Trip Cancellation Travel Protection Plans provides reimbursement for unused, non-refundable trip costs if you are prevented from taking your trip. Trip Interruption provides reimbursement for unused, non-refundable costs if the trip is interrupted, along with reimbursement for the additional transportation cost to return home or rejoin your trip.
Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption will provide coverage due to a sickness or death of a traveler, traveling companion or non-traveling family member. The Coronavirus/COVID-19 will be treated as any other sickness for all illness-related losses. As an example, in the event you, your traveling companion or a non-traveling family member were to become ill prior to your departure date, our plans would provide reimbursement for the non-refundable trip costs. If while traveling, you or your traveling companion becomes ill, our plans would reimburse for the lost days of your trip, along with medical expenses incurred during your trip. Additionally, our plans would provide coverage in the event an emergency evacuation or if repatriation of remains were needed. Our plans also provide trip cancellation and trip interruption coverage for quarantine, the bankruptcy of the travel supplier, or if you are terminated or laid-off.
With concerns of future pandemics, we have enhanced some of our trip cancellation plans to cover you should the US Government issue a level 4 travel advisory, advising you not to travel to your destination country or region. This gives you an added level of coverage if the government advises you not to travel and you now need to seek reimbursement for your non-refundable travel expenses.
Travel Medical Protection Plans
Travel Medical Plans provide short term medical coverage including medical evacuation and repatriation of remains while you are traveling outside your home country. These plans are available with varying levels of coverage and deductibles to meet any travelers’ requirements.
Plans are available for travel outside the USA or travel to the USA. Our travel medical plans provide coverage if you get sick from the Coronavirus if you become ill after the effective date of your policy.
Trip Interruption coverage is included on these plans should a sickness or death of an immediate family member traveling with you occur, a sickness or death of a traveling companion, or your unforeseen sickness or death. This benefit will provide reimbursement of the cost of a one-way economy air and/or ground transportation ticket up to the maximum amount in the schedule for your return to your home country.
Travel Medical Protection Plans – Travel Outside USA
If you’re traveling outside the USA, you can be covered if you get sick from coronavirus as long as you are infected after the effective date of the policy. Covid-19 is treated the same as any other illness. Threat level warnings or declaration of a pandemic by any or all countries does not affect medical coverage.
Visitors Insurance – Travel to the USA
If you are traveling to the USA, you can be covered if you get sick from coronavirus as long as you are infected after the effective date of the policy. Covid-19 is treated the same as any other illness. Threat level warnings or declaration of a pandemic by any or all countries does not affect medical coverage.
